Diesel Technician 2nd Shift

We are looking for a talented 2nd shift Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Business Distribution in Hilliard Ohio.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

• Maintain own tools.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Entry):

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.

• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

(Intermediate):

• Completes complex internal engine repairs.

• Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

(Advanced):

• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.

• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.

• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

This position will require a med card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report.

• A current valid license is required for this role

• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

• 3 years driving experience

• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

• Salary range depending on experience $22.94 hour - $33.29 per hour. There is a shift pay of $1.00/hr.

• Shift will be 3:30pm- Midnight. Will train for 2-3 months on 1st shift 7am-3:30pm.

The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Salary range min $22.94 hr. - max $33.29 hr. plus a $1.00 /hr. 2nd shift premium per hour.

Qualifications

This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.

This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD. This position will be part of the FTA pool.
